You Can Have Results Or Excuses.......NOT BOTH!

Good Afternoon and Happy Sunday to everyone. This Week's B.U. Tip For The Week is "You Can Have Results or Excuses........NOT BOTH!" In life, there are a lot of things that we strive to attain with the most common aspiration coming in the form of success. The success that we strive to attain though is not the same for everyone because success is not perceived the same by each person that strives to attain it. Success is seen in different forms whether it's money, fame, a house, a car, position, stability, a relationship with God, weight loss, or maybe just peace of mind. One person's definition of success may be completely different from what the next person sees it as, however, what each person's definition has in common is that they can all be attained. Not everyone is willing to put in the work though or do what is asked of them in order to see that their vision of success becomes a reality and this is where the results (success) are seprated from the excuses (unsuccessful).

There's an age old saying that "Anything worth having is worth fighting for" and that is a saying that could not be any more true when it comes to life. In life, whatever it is that you want is not going to be given to you just because you want it and it's definitely not going to be given to you because you feel that you deserve it. In order to be successful in life you have to figuratively and in a lot of cases, literally fight for what you want, however some of us aren't willing to do that and instead of fighting for our results, we make excuses as to why we can't get what it is that we want to attain........

"I'm tired of living paycheck to paycheck. I need to start saving, but if I do that, I won't have anything for myself after the bills.

"I'm really trying to get on with this acting thing. I was reading about an upcoming acting class where they're going to have some big name producers and directors there, but it's in New York and they said you have to be there for 8 weeks. I can't leave my job for that long, especially if it's not guaranteed that something is going to come out of it."

"I REALLY need to lose some weight, but I can't stop drinking these sodas."

"I need to start going to church, but I know I'm not living right and I dont have time for those judgmental people at the church.

.............as compared to coming up with a plan on what needs to done in order to see some results.................

"These bills are taking all of my money. I can pick up a part time job, and cut off the unnecessary spending. I need to start looking for a better job as well or see if it's a better paying position where i'm at right now."

"They want me in New York for 8 weeks. That's a lot of time away from my job. I'll talk to my bosses and see if they understand, but I have to go after this. Acting is what I want to need and I have to step out and take a chance. If I do a great job, I know that it will work out for me."

"I need to lose some weight. The sodas are going to be hard but I have to discipline myself. It's not going to work if I don't"

"I'm going to Church for God, not Man! They can judge me all they want but no one is perfect."

.............and because of this, we are constantly faced with the sight of individuals who have the potential to run or at the least lead a business but are working minimum wage for a job that they hate because "they're not going to give me a shot".

We have individuals with all of the athletic ability to make it to the next level, but can't make it in the classroom because "I don't see what i'm gonna need this for anyway." and in turn get stopped in their tracks before they can ever get going.

We have a disturbing rate of obesity because "I've been like this my whole life" or "it runs in the family".

among other scenarios which all contributes to the infamous and unnecessary canyon (not gap) that seperates lower, middle and upper-class america all because we choose to make excuses rather than fight for our results.

There are plenty of opportunities to seize the moment, to make more money, get your house or car, make your mark, live stable, get closer to god, live peacefully and live healthier.......there are plenty of opportunities to to attain ANY kind of success that you strive for but if you aren't willing to come to terms that you are going to have to put in the work to get it AND keep it, it will never happen and you will live your life drowning in a pool of excuses. Life is all about what you make it. Life can be results, or life can excuses but it can't be both if you want to be successful. You are the only one who truly knows what success means to you and you are the only one who can ensure your success. A boss can say that you are the best person for the job, but your work will determine if they say that. You can drop 50 lbs, but it will be your work that will determine if that happens. You can have a good day or a bad day, but it will be your decision on if you will dictate your happiness or if you will let someone else do it for you that will determine which side of the fence you end up on. Your success is up to you and no one can make it happen except you because No One Can B.U. But You!
